The Kosgoda Beach Resort is nestled between a lagoon and the Indian Ocean, along Sri Lanka’s famous Southern Coast, just 80Km from Colombo. It is a dwelling for discovery that will coax you to find your balance against the stress of daily life. The resort re-opened after refurbishment in March 2006 and is one of only two hotels on the beach at Kosgoda, where turtles come ashore regularly to lay their eggs. It is also especially renowned for its ayurvedic center and a range of activities ranging from bird watching within its lagoon, to wildlife trips, to visiting world heritage sites in the South of Sri Lanka. An assortment of indoor games and abundant reading material is available for the more ‘home-bound’ guest.

Accommodation (room & amenities):

42 rooms include one suite, 14 two-storey duplex rooms, and 27 standard villas. The duplex rooms are particularly recommended, offering spacious and appealing accommodation of rare quality among 3-star hotels. All rooms have a/c and fans, excellent open-air showers, phone, satellite TV, in-room safe and all open onto a private terrace or balcony.

Facilities/services:

There is an open-air poolside restaurant and an a/c bar. The swimming pool is one of the largest on the west coast for this class of hotel and has a safe shallow end for infants. A small gymnasium has basic facilities and a good a/c pool room overlooks the swimming pool. Other facilities include hard-surface tennis court, laundry, small business centre, various indoor games, and an Ayurvedic centre offering a range of relaxing therapies.
