Location:

Located on the south west coast, 65 kilometres south of Colombo and 92 kilometres from the International Airport. Saman Villas is magnificently perched on a rocky headland dividing two long seemingly endless, surf-swept unspoilt beaches of golden sand, backed by dense green coconut plantations, in the quiet-sleepy fishing village of Aturuwella in Bentota. The atmosphere is one of tranquility, disturbed only by the sound of sea gulls and the waves breaking on the rocks below. The views, from anywhere in the hotel, are unbelievably magnificent.

Accommodation (room & amenities):

Saman Villas consists 27 extravagantly furnished suites plus one two-storey villa. These are built in the form of separate villas on either side of the rocky headland for maximum privacy. Designed in the best of traditional Sri Lankan style, the accommodation offers every comfort. Each suite is carefully positioned to provide spectacular views of the shoreline and sea. They include a terrace or balcony with a day bed and dining table, lounge area, sleeping deck, dressing room, open-air bath and shower with courtyard, individual climate control, telephone, CD player, LCD panel TV, hair dryer, make-up mirror, mini-bar and safe.

Superior Suites: Thirteen first-floor suites located on either side of the rocky promontory, each offering a balcony and magnificent views of the ocean.

Deluxe Suites: Ground floor suites overlooking the ocean, includes a terrace and a small garden that come with private sun beds to help you loosen up and catch up on a perfect tan.

Deluxe Suites With Swimming Pools: Eight ground-floor suites, each with a terrace, small garden with private sun beds and a 7 meter long swimming pool overlooking the shoreline and sea.

Grand Deluxe Suite With Swimming Pool: This elegantly-located suite features a terrace and small garden with sun beds. The sleeping deck opens out to a swimming pool overlooking the ocean. As you wake up, you can sit by your pool, terrace or garden and enjoy the first rays of light.

Saman Villa Suite With Swimming Pool: The exclusively designed suite offers two floors of luxury. The ground floor consists of a terrace, an exquisitely designed sitting room, and a large bathroom which opens into a large sundeck and a 7 meter secluded swimming pool, which affords complete privacy. The upper floor of the villa consists of a large bedroom with a living area, attached bathroom and a large balcony opening out to the ocean. CD players, LCD panel TV’s and mini-bars are available o both floors for maximum comfort seekers.

In addition, to the restaurant’s cuisine, other Asian menus could be arranged on request with prior notice. Special dining can be arranged with prior notice for guests seeking for particular dietary requirements such as low fat, high-fiber, low in carbohydrates/protein, meals for diabetics, meals excluding all dairy products, onion, garlic, peppers (of all kinds), dry yeast, gluten and root vegetables or even catering to guests who require halal food.

    The Saman Villas concept has always attracted travelers seeking private luxury holidays in an undisturbed atmosphere with maximum privacy. All our guests appreciate the peace and harmony at Saman Villas and recognize the resort as the perfect setting in which to rejuvenate. All suites are designed with king size beds, which are ideally suited to accommodate 2 adults. The hotel’s cliff top location and the open architecture do not provide safety for children in all areas of the hotel premises and inside the suites. In addition, children may also be a disturbance to other guests. Taking into consideration, the concept of the hotel and safety for children, we are compelled discourage children below 12 years of age. Children over 12 years of age will be allowed, and should be accommodated in a separate suite as roll-away beds cannot be accommodated on the sleeping deck.
