Day 1 – Unawatuna, Galle
Your driver/guide will wait for you in the arrival hall of the Colombo airport with a signboard with “Your Name”. Thereafter, proceed towards Unawatuna; a famous coastal village in Galle, Sri Lanka. Unawatuna is a major tourist attraction and famous for its beautiful beach and corals.
Day 2 – Galle
After leisurely breakfast, go for a city tour of Galle visiting all important places such as Portuguese and Dutch fort, Sea Museum, Ancient Temples and Shopping in Galle City.
Day 3 – Yala National Park
Just after breakfast travel towards Yala National Park of Sri Lanka to take an evening safari around 3:00 pm, as it is during this time that leopards and sloth bears emerge out of the shady jungle and roam around. Yala is also a great place for bird watchers. The water holes and tanks are a bird-watcher’s paradise. You will have a very high chance to see the famous peacock dance. For wild life lovers, Yala is a must see place in Sri Lanka.
Day 4 – Ella
After breakfast travel to Ella; a beautiful small village located high in the hill country of Sri Lanka. Ella has some of the best views in Sri Lanka, but it is highly underrated as a tourist destination. The Ravana Falls, Ravana cave and the temple are popular sightseeing attractions in Ella where the legendary Ravana left Sita for safe-keeping. Demodara Railway Station, 9 Arch Stone Bridge and Ella Rock are other interesting sightseeing when touring the hill country of Sri Lanka.
Day 5 – Kandy
Have breakfast and travel to Kandy; one of the most beautiful cities of Sri Lanka that is known for its scenic beauty and rich cultural value. Kandy is famous for a number of tourist attractions that include the Old Royal Palace and the famous Temple of Tooth.
Day 6 – Sigiriya
Have breakfast and travel to Sigiriya; the ruins of the capital built by the parricidal King Kassapa I (477–95) lie on the steep slopes and at the summit of a granite peak standing some 370 m high. A series of galleries and staircases emerging from the mouth of a gigantic lion constructed of bricks and plaster provide access to the site.
Day 7, 8, 9 – Trincomalee
Enjoy free days sunbathing on the unspoiled and clean beach of Trincomalee. There are many things to do and see including Koneswaram Kovil, Lover’s Leap, Trincomalee War Cemetery and Hot Wells.
Day 10, 11 – Colombo
This morning we travel back to Colombo. The trip is fairly long being around 6-7 hours. Arrive in Colombo check-in to the hotel and have a good rest. Enjoy your dinner and have a peaceful overnight at the hotel.
Explore the city of Colombo. A guided sightseeing tour around Colombo shows you local market of Pettah, various temples, mosques and much more which takes 3 to 4 hours usually.
Day 12 – Colombo International Airport
The last day of your Sri Lanka tour already! Enjoy your breakfast and we transfer you to the airport with packed sweet memories of Sri Lanka Round Tour.
